127 Promises, One Year of Results: The White House Releases Its Scorecard

President Donald Trump's administration has released an extensive record of its second-term achievements, organizing 127 campaign promises alongside the actions it says have fulfilled them.

Published November 2, the White House report, Promises Made, Promises Kept, Results Delivered, covers nearly every major area of federal policy, from immigration enforcement and economic growth to healthcare, energy production, national defense, and government reform.

The document is more than a list of political commitments. It provides a picture of how the administration has attempted to translate its governing priorities into changes affecting American households, businesses, and communities.

Several developments stand out: 98,708 southwestern border apprehensions in fiscal year 2026, new tax deductions claimed by more than 53 million filers, expanded domestic energy production, and a series of trade and manufacturing initiatives.

The central theme is an administration measuring its progress through policy implementation, federal action, and economic and security outcomes.

Border Security and Public Safety

Border enforcement occupies a prominent position in the report.

The White House states that Border Patrol recorded 98,708 southwestern border apprehensions in fiscal year 2026, approximately 95% below the more than 1.8 million annual average it attributes to the Biden administration.

The administration also reports completing 250 miles of new border barriers since January 2025 and securing $46.5 billion for additional border-wall construction through the Working Families Tax Cuts.

Public safety is another major focus.

The FBI's 2025 crime statistics independently confirm an 18.1% decline in murders and an overall 9.3% reduction in violent crime compared with 2024.

The FBI described the decrease as the largest annual decline in violent-crime rates since its estimates began in 1936.

These figures place border enforcement and community safety among the most prominent measurable developments highlighted in the administration's scorecard.

Tax Relief Reaches Millions of Americans

The report places particular emphasis on the Working Families Tax Cuts, signed into law in July 2025.

According to the Treasury Department, more than 53 million tax filers claimed at least one of the legislation's new tax provisions during the 2026 filing season.

The average federal refund exceeded $3,400, an 11% increase from the previous filing season.

The reported participation includes:

  • More than 6 million filers claiming the qualified tips deduction.

  • More than 25 million claiming the overtime deduction.

  • More than 30 million seniors claiming the enhanced senior deduction.

  • More than 1 million claiming the deduction for interest on qualifying American-made vehicle loans.

The legislation also made the 20% small-business deduction permanent, providing additional tax-planning certainty for millions of businesses.

These provisions connect federal tax policy with restaurant workers, hourly employees, retirees, small-business owners, and American manufacturers.

Manufacturing, Trade, and American Energy

The administration also highlights its efforts to expand domestic manufacturing through tax incentives, trade negotiations, and industrial investment.

The White House says companies and foreign partners have committed tens of trillions of dollars in investment in the United States.

Its report identifies semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, critical minerals, and advanced industrial production as strategic priorities.

Energy development is another central component.

According to the administration, American oil and natural gas production reached record levels in 2025 and was on track for another record in 2026.

The report also points to expanded drilling permits, pipeline development, the Alaska LNG initiative, and a new Venezuelan oil agreement that delivered its first million barrels to Texas in October.

The broader economic strategy connects energy availability with manufacturing competitiveness, transportation costs, and national security.

Farmers, Healthcare, and American Families

Agriculture receives a dedicated section in the report.

The administration highlights $12 billion in Farmer Bridge payments, expanded farm safety-net provisions, and federal efforts to support domestic fertilizer and agricultural production.

It also points to a $1 billion initiative to combat bird flu and protect American poultry operations. The White House reports that average egg prices subsequently declined more than 60%.

Healthcare and pharmaceutical affordability are additional priorities.

The administration reports agreements with 26 pharmaceutical companies covering approximately 90% of the U.S. pharmaceutical market, alongside the launch of TrumpRx.gov to connect patients with discounted medications.

These initiatives address industries that directly affect household expenses, rural employment, and the stability of American food and medical supply chains.

A Broader Role for America on the World Stage

The scorecard extends beyond domestic policy.

The White House credits the administration with securing increased NATO defense-spending commitments, negotiating international trade agreements, and facilitating diplomatic agreements involving multiple regional conflicts.

It also highlights the return of American hostages, changes to U.S. relationships with international organizations, and expanded military modernization.

These actions reflect the administration's emphasis on national sovereignty, defense readiness, and using economic relationships as instruments of foreign policy.

The document presents these developments as part of a broader effort to strengthen America's position internationally.

From Campaign Commitments to Governing Results

The 127-point report provides an extensive account of the administration's stated accomplishments during its second term.

Its significance lies in the range of policy areas connected by a common governing framework: border enforcement, domestic production, lower taxes, energy development, public safety, and national security.

Some entries document completed legislation or measurable outcomes. Others describe ongoing programs, administrative actions, financial commitments, and longer-term objectives.

Together, they provide a snapshot of how the administration is translating its campaign agenda into federal policy.

For American families, the practical consequences will be experienced through tax returns, employment opportunities, healthcare expenses, energy costs, and community safety.

The broader measure of this governing agenda will be how effectively today's policies and investments strengthen American businesses, protect household finances, expand opportunity, and build a more productive and secure country for future generations.
